Sheikh Abu Bakr Ali Ahmed Mohammed Al-Dhabi was born on 1 January 1985 in Taiz, Yemen. His sweet voice has brought him a large fanbase due to his widespread content across many social media platforms. These include Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok and many Islamic platforms like Quran Central.

By Allah’s grace, he has a Bachelor’s Degree in Islamic Sciences from the Department of Quranic Studies at Al-Saeed University in Taiz. He also has a Master of Arts Degree from the University of the Noble Quran in Khartoum, Sudan. Alongside his degrees, Sheikh Abu Bakr has many Quranic licenses. He has verification to read in Hafs A’n Assim, Qalun A’n Nafi, Abu Jaafar and the 7 recitations.

He has participated in both local and international competitions. He represented his country in 4 countries including Saudi-Arabia, Libya, Malaysia and Jordan. In 2011, he came 4th place in a competition for reciters and Muathins (caller of prayers) in Kuwait.

Sheikh Abu Bakr al Dhabi worked as a teacher of Arabic grammar and spelling in some summer courses at the House of the Noble Quran of the International Commission. He was also appointed as a reciter in the Al-Iqraa Centre of the Moaz Scientific Society from 2006 to 2008. Besides his work as a reciter, he was also a proofreader for some magazines and periodicals in the Moaz Scientific Society, as well as in some of its cultural programmes.

He also worked as the Director of the Centre for Memorization and Quranic Circles in Al-Dawa Mosque – Sana’a.

At the moment, he is preparing for a Master’s Thesis in Language and Statement in the Quran (Desire and Ambition).
