069 Al-Haaqqa
This is a Makki Surah and describes the events on the Day of Resurrection. It is named such as the resurrection is inevitable and the truth that will definitely occur.
The past nations such as Aad and Thamud denied the resurrection and did not submit to the message brought by their messengers. Consequently, they were punished for their disobedience and similar was the fate of the people of Nuh (AS) as well as Firawn and his army.
The blowing of the horn will signal the commencement of resurrection. The Throne of Allaah (SWT) will be carried by eight angels.
The record of deeds will be given to each, in the right hand for the pious believers, in left hand for the disbelievers.
The Qur’an is a revelation from Allaah (SWT), brought down by angel Jibreel (AS), it is neither poetry nor sorcery. It is a reminder for the righteous while its rejection will cause regret to the disbelievers in the Hereafter.
