|The Morning Hours
About Surah: Ad-Dhuha
This is a Makki Surah, and Allaah (SWT) swears by the morning brightness to assure the Prophet ﷺ that he has not been abandoned by his lord. The revelations from Allaah (SWT) ceased for some months in the beginning of prophethood, and the Prophet ﷺ became worried about it. Then revelation resumed with this surah, and Allaah (SWT) conveys to the Prophet ﷺ that what is going to come his way will be pleasing to him.
Allaah (SWT) reminds the Prophet ﷺ of the hardships he encountered since childhood, and how Allaah (SWT) always protected and provided for him. So, in return Allaah (SWT) orders the Prophet ﷺ to be as generous and express the blessings of Allaah (SWT).
