101 Al-Qaria

This is a Makki Surah and is named after one of the names of the Day of Resurrection, with which it commences. 

Illustrating the events on the Day of Resurrection, it is said that people will be scattered like insects and mountains will be like fluffed-up wool, among other things.

The actions of every individual will be weighed in scales, and those whose scales are heavy will be rewarded with gardens of Paradise. While those whose scales are light, they will be punished with the torment of the fire in the Hell.
